JOHOR BARU: The number of flood evacuees taking shelter three relief centres (PPS) in Segamat remains at 77 people from 24 families as at 8am on Sunday (Jan 16).
SEGAMAT, Jan 2 Continuous downpour in the district has wreaked havoc, forcing almost two thousand residents to be evacuated from their flood-hit homes. As of now, there are 30 relief centres opened in the district with 1,771 victims from 452 families, and 29 villages and three housing areas.
JOHOR BARU: Residents in low- lying areas in the city here have started moving their items to higher ground in preparation of floodwaters inundating their homes.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 The situation in flood-hit areas in Sabah and Sarawak continued to show improvement today, as the number of evacuees at relief centres decreased.
The fine weather in Sarawak saw the number of flood victims at the relief centres continued to drop to 3,780 people so far compared to 4,247 people this morning.
