It’s the time of year when soup cravings hit, so the other night I whipped up a pot of chili. I had ladled my bowl full and begun spreading peanut butter on a slice of bread when the memories hit. How many area students, who grew up in the 70s, are fixed in the habit of eating peanut butter sandwiches with their chili because that’s the way they served the meal at school?
