Madison Patrick My name is Madison Patrick, and I am from Saltville, VA. I am an undergraduate at Emory & Henry, and I will be receiving a B.A. in Psychology. I want to go into Clinical Mental Health Counseling because I have always wanted to help people and have an impact on their lives in a meaningful way. Mental health has a stigma around it that I want to break, and entering this program will help me be able to do that. I chose the Emory & Henry graduate program because E&H has changed my life for the better, and I will forever be thankful for my undergraduate experience. Emory & Henry has provided me with a well-rounded, amazing education, and I know for certain that the E&H MS-CMHC program will provide me with a high-quality education to prepare me for my future career.

Contemporary arts center OZ Arts Nashville today announced an exhibition of new works by Nashville artist and curator Pam Marlene Taylor, opening March 12, 2021. Taylor s newest tapestries, which are created on hand-built looms, focus on themes of loss and grief, with visual references to mourning wreaths and funeral floral arrangements. The exhibition s title, Spoiler Alert, warns viewers of the impending plot twist that all people will eventually confront death.
In this timely exhibition, the artist mourns those lost to the Covid-19 pandemic while highlighting the inequalities exhibited in medical treatment for women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals and those in poverty.

Siena Heights University announces business partnership with the city of Detroit

ADRIAN Siena Heights University and the city of Detroit will be teaming up for a business partnership that will offer discounted tuition degree completion options and other educational opportunities to Detroit’s more than 8,000 employees.
Under the partnership agreement, city of Detroit employees will receive a tuition discount and will receive personalized advising and student success and career counseling from Siena Heights, a news release from the university announced.
“We are thrilled to partner with the city of Detroit and look forward to a long and productive relationship that will ultimately benefit the city’s employees and their families,” said SHU President Sister Peg Albert, O.P., PhD, in the news release. “Siena Heights University has more than 45 years of experience educating working adult students in the metro Detroit area.”
