The second wave of India s COVID-19 pandemic has brought forth some shocking visuals of death, desperation, and helplessness from across the country. Images of bodies waiting in queue on the roadside to be cremated, extremely sick individuals lying on the road outside hospitals, and mass funerals have been circulating on social media for weeks.
Now comes the picture of a dead woman being carried on a motorcycle in Andhra Pradesh, sandwiched between her son and son-in-law, because ambulances allegedly refused to carry her body.

Northland s St John Ambulance service is better off thanks to a donation from the Whangārei Lions Club s 27th annual corporate Charity Golf Tournament.
Held at the Northland Golf Club mid March the tournament saw $5000 for St John Ambulance, which will be used mainly for intraosseous bone injection drills to be included as inventory for ambulances.

CHITRAL: A woman gave birth to a baby girl in a Rescue 1122 ambulance at Bakrabad on Saturday.
The Rescue 1122 officials said the wife of Khan Badshah, a resident of Arandu Gol currently living in Ashiret, was brought to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital after she went through labour pain.
Later, when she was being shifted to the DHQ Hospital Chitral, she gave birth to a baby girl at Bakrabad.
Female staff of the rescue service handled the case and both the mother and the baby were doing fine.
