ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Effective immediately, individuals 16 and older no longer have to make an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at a Monroe County-run vaccination site or community-based clinic, County Executive Adam Bello announced Thursday. Appointments will no longer be required at any of the Monroe County operated vaccination centers for any individual who’s eligible to be vaccinated in New York state, Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said.
County-run sites include the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, the Monroe County Fleet Center, and all community-based pop-up clinics that are sponsored by the county. For a list of Monroe County-run sites, click here.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) COVID-19 vaccinations for EMS workers started Monday and with them being on the frontlines to calls and dangerous scenes they tell News10NBC it s a sigh of relief to finally get the shot.
“We’re going into these homes, we re going into doctors officers where everybody is super sick and it s reassuring to know that now we re getting this vaccine,” Brighton Volunteer Ambulance Assistant Chief and Paramedic Shawna Rizzi said.
Rizzi said her team is excited to be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine after rushing a long year putting themselves at danger and risk.
