Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools Superintendent Brad Codere presents a Copper Country Association of School Board award to senior Siona Beadouin on Monday.
ake Linden-Hubbell Schools Board presented three people with Copper Country Association of School Board awards at its meeting Monday night.
Twelfth-grader Siona Beaudoin received the Student Leadership Award. Beaudoin has been part of numerous extracurricular activities, including eCYBERMISSION, where she helped win a national title and the Life Sciences Poster Competition at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, where she finished third.
“Siona is a quiet leader who takes her academics very seriously, and is primed for much success beyond high school,” Superintendent Brad Codere said.
Cleveland High School Student Presents Science Research At Many Venues Wednesday, May 5, 2021
Cleveland High School student Rishi Soni has presented his science research at a very high level for a high school student.
The title of his work is: Developing a fish image classification system for Mouse Creek, Cleveland, using machine learning by Rishi Soni. The work was completed in the Aquatic Biology (Scientific Research) Honors class.

Presented, by invitation, at the Tennessee Junior Science and Humanities Symposium on March 5 where he was nominated for the Presidential Award in STEM.
Presented, by invitation, at the Tennessee Junior Academy of Science on April 16. He advanced to the National Academy of Science. His paper will be published in full and he will receive $500 as well as expenses to travel to the national event.

Soroptimist International of the Red River Valley announced
Darlene Boyle of West Fargo has been awarded first place in the North Central Regional Live Your Dream competition. Boyle has been awarded $1000 from Soroptimist of Red River Valley and $5000 from the North Central Region of Soroptimist International. Darlene attends school at M-State Moorhead. Her educational goal is to obtain a degree in social work. Darlene hopes to earn her B.S. degree so she can serve at risk Native American children in urban areas as well as children who come from reservations.
Ann Wodarek, of Fargo, was named to the 2021 Winter honor roll list at Oregon State. To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of coursework.
