Some areas like napa reported. 2 of an inch of rain. The areas around concord, clayton, and fairfield. Getting rain here as well and just this band that rolled through. It was between midnight and 2 in the morning when that lightning fired off. I will remove the radar. You can see a fairly active move through the overnight hours and this system now, moving south over Southern California and backing it up to show you a threehour time lapse. Where police say they dont have the resources to keep officers patroling one area. We know that thats an area where we need to pay extra attention to and we usually do. It happens that way. Its just right now, with using on duty officers, were kind of in a position where we have to do it as the calls for service would allow. Service would allow. A Fatal Shooting last month prompted calls for extra Police Officers in the area. The department was planning to take action. But has run out of funding to do so. The funds come from operation keeping the city safe. The warm weather sticking around longer this year caused it to exhaust its resources. Still, Business Owners are expecting a safe night.
