CASPER, Wyo. The Bar Nunn Fire Department said on Tuesday that Assistant Chief Edgeington, Lieutenant Freeman, and Firefighter Longest have been deployed to Minnesota to assist on forest fires in the northwest region of the state.
They were deployed “to assist with any local incidents and resources.”
“With this assignment, this crew will provide critical added initial attack capacity as forest fire dangers remain elevated,” Bar Nunn Fire said. “Join us in wishing them the best with this assignment and a safe return home.”
No one was injured in a fire at a residence in Bessemer Bend early Sunday morning, according to a prepared statement from the Natrona County Fire Protection District.
Firefighters responded to the call at 5 a.m. to the structure fire in the 12000 block of El Rio Road.
No occupants or firefighters were injured.
The cause remains under investigation.
Other responding agencies included the Casper Fire-EMS Department, the Bar Nunn Fire Department, the Natrona County Road and Bridge Department, the Wyoming Medical Center and the Natrona County Sheriff s Office.

CASPER, Wyo Multiple Natrona County agencies responded to a wildland fire burned in a dry creek drainage southeast of Outer Drive Sunday afternoon.

No structures were lost. The fire burned approximately 76.5 acres, officials said.
Natrona County Fire District spokesman Leighton Burgen said they believed the “Scenic Fire” had originated in a burn pile. Elevated fire danger conditions had been advised by the National Weather Service throughout the weekend, during which time burning of any kind is discouraged.
