Nearly 20 members of the JCYA have contributed money to distribute dry ration kits comprising rice (6kg), dal (1kg), soyabean (1kg), edible oil (1kg) and masks. “Some of us are employed and a few are students. Stop medical loot : Babulal Marandi tells private hospitals; asks victims to file complaints | Ranchi News

RANCHI: Former chief minister and BJP leader Babulal Marandi on Thursday asked private hospitals to stop harassing and looting people by charging hefty fees on the pretext of treating the Covid-19 infection. Maradi also floated a WhatsApp number (8674922223) and an email id (yourbabulal@gmail.com) asking patients and their kin to provide proofs of any such illegal acts and promised to take up their matter at the right platforms to ensure justice. In a public appeal, the BJP leader said he has been coming across numerous reports of medical loots by a certain section of private hospitals in the city. In such reports, the hospitals are fleecing patients and their relatives by charging hefty fees in violation of Covid treatment rates prescribed by the government, he said and accused many private hospitals of medical negligence leading to several deaths in recent times.
