A member of the Quick Response Team (QRT) was trampled to death by a wild elephant on Wednesday night in East Singhbhum. The deceased, Bablu Soren, was a native of Bankura in West Bengal. He was a part of the 10-member QRT of Bengal hired by the Chakulia forest officials to drive away 23 elephants wandering in the foothills for the past five days.
