Jason Reginald Soars was arrested in the Mackay region this week and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent over an alleged incident at East Maitland between 10.20pm and 10.40pm on March 31, 2021. Mackay Magistrates Court heard a passer-by found a man seriously injured and covered in blood in the middle of Ann Street in East Maitland. Prosecutor Rob Beamish said he had several missing teeth and life threatening injuries that needed surgery.
