A new McDonald’s has been approved for Andergrove with only a few minor tweaks to original plans lodged with the council.
The family restaurant will be built within the new Coles Supermarket precinct in Oak Street in Andergrove.
Initially proposed as a 24/7 restaurant designed to service the Andergrove, Beaconsfield and Slade Point areas, the restaurant revised its hours to 5am to midnight seven days a week.
The new restaurant will be the fourth McDonald’s for the proposed owner and operator Nikki Ramsey.
Mrs Ramsey said the proposal provided an initial estimate of economic investment in excess of $1.5 million and generated 100 jobs for local contractors.

A $500,000 lift will help accelerate the design of the proposed Pioneer Valley Mountain Bike Trail.
“This is a Labor election commitment which once completed will have 100km of track linking Eungella to Finch Hatton providing a great visitor experience for both families and serious trail riders, new jobs and $18m for the Mackay region’s economy,” Ms Gilbert posted.
Ms Gilbert said Mad Mountain Bike Club riders were “very excited” to practise on the new facility and prepare for competitions.
“Finch Hatton is planned as the trail hub with carparking, shuttle services, change rooms, an event space and possibly a cafe, in future stages,” she stated.

A Bloomsbury farmer is applying to allow caravanners to stay-over on his land to enjoy a nature-based experience among hundreds of fruit and nut trees.
Nicholas Cronan, whose property is about an hour’s drive north of Mackay and 50 minutes south of Airlie Beach, lodged plans to Mackay Regional Council to create a space for five recreational vehicles up to 5.5m long.
“We feel that there is a growing need for small facilities offering a quiet secluded break away from the large crowded caravan parks,” Mr Cronan stated in his application.
“We intend to offer our guests a unique experience on a tropical fruit farm with over 200 different varieties of fruit and nuts trees.
