Unhappy with verdict, Hagrama Mohilary calls Floor Tests incomplete
Former Chief Hagrama Mohilary says that the BTC Floor Tests were not held as per Gauhati High Court regulations, Verdict to be challenged in Court.

Kokrajhar: After facing defeat at the composite floor test at the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Kokrajhar, former Chief Hagrama Mohilary said that he will contest today s verdict in Court. Claiming that the proceedings for the test were incomplete, he complained that no proceedings in the floor test recently conducted adhered to the directions issued by the Gauhati High Court. Earlier the Gauhati High Court had issued its guidelines for conducting a composite floor test in the BTC after Mohilary had submitted a writ petition himself.

The recently elected CEM of BTC, Pramod Boro won the composite floor test with the support of 22 members. BPF resorted to unruly behaviour.

Kokrajhar: In a big blow to Bodoland People s Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary, the BJP-UPPL-GSP combine won the composite floor test in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). Promod Boro, the recently elected Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC managed to sail through the floor test as he got the full support of all the 22 members of the just-formed Council.
Soon after winning the trust vote, Promod Boro who is the UPPL president said, The UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance will work for the peace and prosperity of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

However, BJP and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) supported by Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) formed the government of council. Lone Congress MLA left the party and joined BJP.

Kokrajhar: Ahead of the composite floor test for Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), UPPL president and recently elected Chief Executive Member of BTC, Promod Boro has exuded confidence of proving majority in the floor of the Council. The UPPL-BJP-GSP combine Council has decided to go for the confidence vote on Thursday (December 24).

Guwahati: The ordeal is far from over for Promod Boro-led Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday has ordered for a composite floor test by December 26, which means Promod Boro will have to prove his majority. Making things worse for Boro, the order has put a stay on the appointment of the nominated members, they will not be able to vote during the floor test and cannot participate in the election of the Chief Executive Member. The Court has barred the Council from taking any policy decision.
