Suspect held for selling peopleâs homes fraudulently on the run after skipping bail

Johannesburg - Hawks are looking for a woman who was arrested for allegedly selling peopleâs houses fraudulently but failed to return to court after being granted bail in 2019.
Annica van Staden, 46, has been on the run since August 2019 and police are requesting help from those who may know where she is to inform authorities.
Captain Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi of the Hawks said allegations were that Van Staden registered a business called Housing First Property in Mpumalanga between October 2014 and July 2015.
She is the said to have started selling RDP houses, repossessed houses as well as private property in the vicinity of Middelburg, Witbank, Secunda and Kriel.

IN SEPTEMBER last year, during lockdown, a fit club was formed by four people.
That club has now grown to become a fully fledged gym with more than 50 members in Protea Glen, Soweto.
According to Dineo Khunou (39), the club was formed out of a passion to help people get into the right shape and keep fit.
“My dream is to see people live a healthier lifestyle. I’m also a Herbalife independent distributor, so I incorporated healthy eating while training. In that way you get results quickly,” she said.
She said her goal is now becoming a reality as they have joined hands with other fitness clubs based in the kasis where they do bootcamps with different trainers. They get together to do activations in different communities.
