The 46-year-old Annica van Staden registered a business called Housing First Property in Mpumalanga where she claimed to sell RDP houses, repossessed homes and even private property in the vicinity of Middelburg, Witbank, Secunda and Kriel. According to the Hawks, Van Staden duped several clients between October 2014 and July 2015. Any person who knows her whereabouts is urged to contact any one of the members of the investigating team. All information will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Annica van Staden, 46, has been on the run since August 2019 and police are requesting help from those who may know where she is to inform authorities.
