Sarwar for ensuring quality healthcare

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar was called on by Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) & Lahore General Hospital Prof Dr Muhammad Al-freed Zafar at Governorâs House here on Saturday. In this meeting, the governor said medical teachers, professors and senior doctors have great responsibility for improving quality healthcare to strengthen public confidence in government hospitals and they should play their full role in ensuring quality healthcare as well.

Doctors praised for working on Eid

LAHORE:Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute & Lahore General Hospital Prof Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar has said that doctors, nurses and paramedics who dedicate the joys of Eid to the suffering humanity deserve appreciation as spending time on an occasion like Eid to serve the patients instead of their own families is commendable in every way.
These views were expressed by Prof Al-freed Zafar while visiting various departments of the LGH and talking to the on-duty staff here Friday where he visited the patients and wished them a happy Eid. Medical Superintendent of General Hospital Dr Abdul Razzaq, Dr Abdul Aziz and other senior doctors were also present.
LGH employees to get salaries before Eid

LAHORE : More than 3,500 employees of Postgraduate Medical Institute, Ameer Uddin Medical College and Lahore General Hospital will benefit from the pay raise from this month and a 10 per cent increase has been added to their salaries for July. Talking in this regard, PGMI Principal Prof Al-freed Zafar said the orders of the government were being implemented in true letter and spirit and the increased salaries would be paid before Eid-ul-Aza to all the employees.

Shaukat Khanum, other facilities vaccinate healthcare professionals against corona

LAHORE:Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) begins vaccinating its frontline healthcare professionals against Covid-19. A special Covid-19 vaccination camp has been installed outside the main hospital building where frontline healthcare professionals, who are directly working with Covid-19 patients, are being administered the vaccine. The Chief Medical Officer/acting CEO of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Dr Muhammad Aasim Yusuf said the hospital has been provided with 300 dozes of Sino Pharm vaccine by the government. This type of vaccine can only be administered to people below age of sixty years.
