The New Mexico prison system operates two medium-level prisons for women inmates. One is located near Grants, an hour west of Albuquerque, and the other is located in Springer, in the rural northeast of the state. According to a press release from the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Todd Hanks, 50, was arrested June 29 for charges of improper sexual activity with a person in custody and indecency with a child. Hanks, who worked as a youth development coach, was reported by a fellow coworker in the morning, and was immediately removed from having contact with youth. At first Hanks was suspended without pay, but then officers from TTJD s Office of the Inspector General interviewed Hanks and terminated his employment.

Todd Hanks (Texas Juvenile Justice Dep) Hanks has been charged with improper sexual activity with a person in custody and indecency with a child. He has been booked into the Hidalgo County Jail. An employee made an allegation against Hanks on Tuesday and TJJD says that he was immediately removed from having any contact with youth and suspended without pay. After an interview with officers from TJJD s Office of the Inspector General, Hanks was immediately fired.
