In the year of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the division’s Board of Education is honouring all of its staff for the work they have done to keep learning going during uncertain times. “Our school division is going to honour all staff with an honourary achievement award in terms of recognizing their commitment and dedication to Catholic education and our Catholic educational community. And it is really because of the efforts of all of our staff during the pandemic that supported our children and our families in the best way they could. In a news release by the Prince Albert Catholic School Division on Tuesday evening the division explained that communication has been shared with the specific classrooms/cohorts, as well as the school community. The case was not school acquired. “The Saskatchewan Health Authority is proceeding with their assessment of the situation and all individuals deemed to be close contacts will be provided instructions.”

Prince Albert Catholic School Division has announced the Saskatchewan Health Authority identified a positive COVID-19 case at École St. Anne School in Prince Albert. Communication has been shared with the specific classroom/cohort, as well as the school community. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is proceeding with their assessment of the case and all individuals deemed to be close contacts have been provided instructions. “We want to reassure families that school will resume for in-person learning for all other students on Friday, May 7, 2021. To protect privacy, we are not able to share or discuss details. The cohort impacted by this case has been notified and provided with instructions,” as stated in the release.

Catholic Division board approves three year PMR plan - Prince Albert Daily Herald

Prince Albert Daily Herald Daily Herald File Photo Schools are always in need of maintenance and the Prince Albert Catholic School Division has an ability to stay ahead of these with the Preventative Maintenance and Renewal (PMR) Plan. At their meeting on Monday, May 25 the board approved the three-year (fiscal years 2022-2023, 2023-2024 and 2024-205) PMR projects list. “The Preventative Maintenance and Renewal plan is very much a measured approach to articulating what the jobs are that we need to get done to our buildings and our facilities. We do have flexibility within the plan,” director of education Lorel Trumier said.
