Prague streets make way for vaccine bus – EURACTIV com

Citizens of Prague and visitors to the Czech capital can now be vaccinated against COVID-19 without prior registration in a mobile vaccination centre known as the “vaccine bus” set up by the Prague City Hall. “The bus will stop at places that are frequently visited or at important events,” said Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates). This will include about a dozen places, including the Prague Zoo. It will be possible to vaccinate up to 300 people a day in the vehicle, which was lent free of charge by the Prague Public Transit Company. The bus will offer the two-dose Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines as well as one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Temsa wins tender for electric buses in Romania After having won a tender held in Buzău, Romania,  the Turkish bus manufacturer Temsa today announced that it will now deliver four Avenue Electron buses by the end of 2021. The delivery also includes the procurement of two 150kw and 480kw charging stations to the city. The Avenue Electron that will be on the roads of Romania’s city of Buzău in 2021, was first introduced at Hanover Commercial Vehicle Fair held in Germany in 2018. In June 2019, the Turkish bus manufacturer presented two new electric bus models at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Stockholm: the Avenue Electron and MD 9 electriCITY. Forthwith, the company scored an order Temsa had exported its first six electric buses to Sweden.
