BOZEMAN â The June 14th Bozeman School Board meeting wasnât very long but it covered a lot of topics including updating policies concerning student equity.
CASEY BERTRAM, CO-SUPERINTENDENT: âWeâre going to be looking at policy 3610 and 3610P. Weâre also going to be talking about some revisions to 3210P,â said Casey Bertram, co-superintendent for the Bozeman School District.
The district was very clear on how they defined the term.
âEquity means that each student regardless of race, color or national origin, ancestry, sex, ethnicity, language barrier, religious belief, physical or mental handicap or disability, economic or social condition, actual or potential marital or parental status, gender or sexual orientation will have access to the opportunities, resources, and support they need to attain their full potential,â�

BOZEMAN â Concerns and confusion poured out from the parent community in the Bozeman School District after a former trusteeâs resignation and the timing behind it.
âItâs really hard for me to believe that you all didnât hear from Andy that he was moving, but maybe thatâs the case. Maybe you didnât know,â said a frustrated parent during Monday s school board meeting.
News broke about Andy Willettâs resignation shortly after three trustee positions were voted on during the May 4 elections.

BOZEMAN â Students and parents are almost to the end of the school year, but thereâs still a lot happening within the Bozeman School District. At Monday night s school board meeting, recent CDC guidance relating to masks and vaccinations was on the agenda.
And it was a hot topic that stretched the meeting to about three and a half hours discussing the issue of students wearing masks even though local mandates have been lifted.
âThe CDC guidance is for schools to maintain their masking requirements to the end of the school year,â Interim Superintendent Casey Bertram said.
