BOZEMAN â The June 14th Bozeman School Board meeting wasnât very long but it covered a lot of topics including updating policies concerning student equity.
CASEY BERTRAM, CO-SUPERINTENDENT: âWeâre going to be looking at policy 3610 and 3610P. Weâre also going to be talking about some revisions to 3210P,â said Casey Bertram, co-superintendent for the Bozeman School District.
The district was very clear on how they defined the term.
âEquity means that each student regardless of race, color or national origin, ancestry, sex, ethnicity, language barrier, religious belief, physical or mental handicap or disability, economic or social condition, actual or potential marital or parental status, gender or sexual orientation will have access to the opportunities, resources, and support they need to attain their full potential,â�

BOZEMAN â If youâve been following the Bozeman School Board, then you most likely know Douglas Fischer and Gary Lusin, but maybe not the newest member, Lei-Anna Bertelson.
âFor me being a trustee, Iâm in a different place in the process, and Iâm very curious, very excited, very interested in how I can bring my skills and my perspective to that process,â Bertelson told MTN News.
The newly elected trustee had the second-highest number of votes correlating with a successful campaign, but Bertelson says the real work starts now.
