BOZEMAN, Mont. â The League of Women Voters of the Bozeman Area and the Bozeman Public Library are hosting a virtual non-partisan, Bozeman School District candidate forum series starting at 6:30 p.m. on April 22.
The first set of candidates scheduled to speak at 6:30 p.m. include Gary Lusin (Incumbent), Lei-Anna Bertelsen and Anna Shchemelinin.
The remaining candidates scheduled for 7:30 p.m. include Doug Fischer (Incumbent), Jennifer Lammers and Cheryl Tusken.
Lisa Weaver, Wendy Tage and Anna Makarechian are the three additional candidates unable to attend.
The public is encouraged to attend the forum and bring questions to ask the candidates. The forum series is free, and no pre-registration is required.

BOZEMAN â Hundreds of teachers and staff with the Bozeman School District are one step closer to fighting against COVID-19 - as day two of the vaccination clinic wrapped up Friday at the Willson Building.
Between Thursday and Friday, about 400 Bozeman educators were given their first dose of the Moderna vaccine and will take their second dose in a few weeks.
Educators are not yet eligible through the stateâs distribution plan but were able to receive doses today through a federal program by President Biden to provide all teachers with at least their first dose by the end of March.

BOZEMAN â A year ago, Miami University of Ohio sent the Bozeman School District a letter to change the Bozeman Hawks logo because it was too similar to the universityâs logo.
The pandemic slowed down the progress, but the new logo is finally ready.
The new logo was presented during Monday s Bozeman School District meeting.
âWe have a traditional feel of the first Bozeman High School. We wanted to keep some semblance of that hawk head, and I told them I wanted the logo to be clean, crisp, aggressive. I want it to honor the tradition of where weâve been while rebranding for the future at the same time, explained Dan Mills, the principal at Bozeman High School.

BOZEMAN â When it comes to making decisions for the Bozeman School District, it falls into the hands of eight trustees.
âAll in favor?â That was the question asked by Sandy Wilson, Board Chair on Monday night.
During Monday nightâs board meeting, trustees called for May 4, 2021, to be the election day for the district for the following school year.
âMotion was made by Trustee Reinhardt seconded by Trustee Fisher,â declared Wilson.
