POLICE REPORTS FOR JUNE 22, 2021

POLICE REPORTS FOR JUNE 22, 2021 By John Smathers In an update of a story we had for you yesterday… State Police in Punxsutawney say that after further investigation and interviews it was determined that the one-year-old girl who went missing from her North Mahoning Township home along Coolspring Road may have wandered away until police found her safe. In the original report – the child went missing Thursday around 1:25 pm but was found safe about 1.5 miles east of her address. Authorities say the father of the child had noticed a vehicle drive past his home several times before his daughter went missing but police determined after further investigation that there was no vehicle involved in the incident.

The majority of the arrests were for alcohol impairment, but PSP Commissioner Robert Evanchik says close to 12 hundred arrests made last year were for other substances, thanks to troopers certified as Drug Recognition Experts. Police say no injuries were reported following a rear-end crash in Henderson Township of Jefferson County that happened Wednesday afternoon near Paradise Road. State Police say a truck, driven by 44-year-old Harvey L. Fyock of Punxsutawney was stopped waiting for another vehicle ahead to turn, when Fyock’s truck was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Brady M. Muth of Punxsutawney who police say was driving at an unsafe speed and f
