WOODBRIDGE – The township reported 411 new COVID-19 cases over a seven-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 5,475, according to Mayor John McCormac in his coronavirus report on Dec. 28.
Eighty-four new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Dec. 21, 54 new cases were reported for Dec. 22, 79 new cases were reported for Dec. 23, 73 new cases were reported for Dec. 24, 52 new cases were reported for Dec. 25, 37 new cases were reported for Dec. 26 and 34 new cases were reported for Dec. 27.
The mayor said experts attribute the recent surge in cases partially to the Thanksgiving holiday family events. He urged the public to avoid the same thing from happening in the next few weeks.

Seventy-nine new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Dec. 18, 64 new cases were reported for Dec. 19 and 40 new cases were reported for Dec. 20.

WOODBRIDGE – The township reported 261 new COVID-19 cases over a four-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 4,881 according to Mayor John McCormac in his coronavirus report on Dec. 18.
Sixty-four new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Dec. 14, 87 new cases were reported for Dec. 15, 51 new cases were reported for Dec. 16 and 62 new cases were reported on Dec. 17.
“December is now officially our worst month of the year and there are 13 reporting days left,” McCormac said. “It’s been over two months since we had a day in single digits. It’s very hard to find good news in the numbers, but we do know that the number of tests being given is also higher than ever.”

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – A major nor easter rolled into Middlesex County area on Wednesday, bringing 5.9 inches of snow to East Brunswick.
Around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning Hardenburg Lane was closed in both directions by Fresh Ponds Road, due to downed power lines.
Police personnel were on scene controlling traffic control. Around 12:15 p.m. the road was cleared and opened.
