CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF MINA Deputies stopped a vehicle on Mann Road in the town of Mina for speeding around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The operator was identified as Emilee A. Carlson, 28, of Clymer, and an investigation found her to be impaired by drugs. It was also found that Carlson’s privileges to operate a motor vehicle in New York state had been suspended. Carlson was taken into custody and further investigation found her to be in possession of methamphetamines and concentrated cannabis. After processing, she was released with appearance tickets. Carlson will appear in Town of Mina Court at a later date to answer charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone.

Mar 6, 2021 BROCTON A pair pulled over by New York State Police in Fredonia are facing a number of drug charges. Troopers charged Joshua Heimerl, 24, of Dunkirk for three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, four counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of controlled substances by ultimate users original container. Kelsie Briggs, 28, of Brocton was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A vehicle in which Heimerl and Briggs were passengers was pulled over on Thursday for a traffic violation and while speaking to the occupants, Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The families of people who live in a Saint John nursing home gripped by an outbreak of COVID-19 for nearly three months are breathing a collective sigh of relief this week after New Brunswick Public Health declared the outbreak officially over. Some, however, are still wondering what comes next. Louise Mackin called to check in and catch-up with her mother from the parking lot of Parkland Saint John s Tucker Hall. For two months, this was the closest she could get, but that all changed this week. The next day, Wednesday, I was able to go in and visit with my mom face-to-face, and we were even able to sit closer than the previous visits before Christmas, Mackin said.
