May 5, 2021 LISBON A May 10 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Cassidey A. Sandoe, 27, Walnut Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly fighting with his half-brother Brady Barnhouse on Monday. Brady A. Barnhouse, 21, Walnut Street, Salem, was sentenced to seven days in jail and fined $500 for domestic violence for fighting with his half-brother Cassidey A. Sandoe on Monday. Stacey Saracco, 30, Crews Road, Wellsville, was credited with 30 days served in jail, sentenced to an additional 100 days in jail and fined $350 for driving under OVI suspension, a taillights violation and endangering children for driving while believed to be under the influence of a drug of abuse with two children ages 7 years and 15 months inside the vehicle on Aug. 11. Saracco was all over the roadway on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township and when she was stopped at the intersection with state Route 154, she reportedly had a powdery substance in her right nostril

Harvey Jackie William Oliver, 18, is facing three charges, including assault, affray, and intimidating a witness. He stood in the dock alongside his father, Carl Jan Oliver, 46. In response to each charge, Harvey Oliver entered clear not guilty pleas. District Judge John Temperley sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on May 25. A former Carlisle man pleaded guilty to a common assault on a woman, committed in November, 2019. Alasdair Drummond Johnston, 35, now living at Staffin, Scotland, appeared before Carlisle s Rickergate magistrates court remotely for sentence. District Judge John Temperley imposed an 18-month community order, with £85 costs and told the defendant to pay the victim £100 compensation as well as a £90 victim surcharge.

Carlisle man fined for stealing fish

Prosecution: Carlisle s Rickergate court A THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Carlisle man has admitted an offence of “unlawfully taking fish in water which was private property.” Ioan Lupu, of Bowman Street, committed the offence at C&D Auction Mart in Longtown on Thursday, October 22 last year, Carlisle’s Rickergate Magistrates’ Court heard. After hearing an outline of the offence, which was prosecuted under the 1968 Theft Act, the defendant was fined £80 and told that he must pay a victim surcharge of £34. There was no claim for costs from the Crown Prosecution Service. Lupu, who was not represented in court, has until May 21 to pay the fine

Mansfield police investigating death of Todd Rice

MANSFIELD - Mansfield police haven t ruled out foul play in the death of Todd Rice, former president of the Mansfield Gay Pride Association and champion for the local LGBTQ community. Capt. Shari Robertson said an autopsy, the results of which could take anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks, will provide more insight into the case. Montgomery County conducts autopsies from Richland County. Rice, 45, was found dead inside his home on April 5 after his employer called police, saying Rice hadn t shown up for work.  The door to his home, 422 Marion Ave., was ajar, according to a police report. Rice s 2016 Jeep Renegade was also missing.
