Two men were arrested after assaulting a man in a hotel room at Hotel M, Route 611, in Mount Pocono, Pocono Mountain Regional Police said.
Alexus Clark, 23, and Shaun High, 40, both of Mount Pocono, allegedly assaulted a man at the hotel on Tuesday night.
Police said the men left in a car before they arrived but were later caught by Pocono Township Police during a traffic stop.
The victim told police that when he arrived to Clark s hotel room he was assaulted and threatened by High, who had a knife. Police said the victim had several injuries and he was taken to St. Luke s Hospital.
A Tobyhanna woman was arrested on Thursday on attempted homicide charges after allegedly shooting a man following an argument, Pocono Mountain Regional Police said.
Zasha Sanchez, 32, of Tobyhanna, allegedly shot Norman Kirkland on Wednesday in the chest at a home on Ventor Drive, Tobyhanna, police said.
When police arrived they arrived they found Kirkland suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police said they had previously been called to the home for a domestic dispute that did not involve any violation of the law.
Investigators determined that during the argument Sanchez pulled a handgun and shot Kirkland. At the time, police said, children were in the home and near the shooting.
