Four people in Pennsylvania s Pocono Mountains region were hurt Monday evening in a series of shootings, officials said.
Gunfire was reported in A Pocono Country Place around 5 p.m., Mount Pocono Mayor Michael Penn told Fox News. Multiple victims were found at that location, according to a Monroe County Office of Emergency Management.
A second shooting was reported soon after at the Tobyhanna Shopping Center on State Route 196. Police were then dispatched to a third victim by Kings Way and the freeway. A fourth victim was found suffering from a gunshot at another location.

Four people were wounded Monday night in a shooting spree in the Poconos, and police are still searching for the gunman or gunmen.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police had residents sheltering in place on the Route 196 corridor, and in the Pocono Country Place and Pocono Farms East developments in Monroe County.
The shelter order was lifted at about 3 a.m. Tuesday, but police have not reported any arrests. In a community alert, police said the investigation was ongoing but that they did not believe the public was in imminent danger.

Mount Pocono Borough Mayor Michael Penn posted on Facebook that there were four or five crime scenes Monday night and “multiple police forces at this time in the Coolbaugh/Tobyhanna areas.”
The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management tweeted at about 8:48 p.m. that residents “on the 196 corridor between Pocono Country Place and Pocono Farms East” should shelter in place and report any suspicious activity. In a separate statement, the office said no suspects had been arrested.
