Sammy Hagar added to Illinois State Fair lineup
Tickets for Sammy Hagar & The Circle will go on sale Saturday, May 22 at 10am on www.ticketmaster.com.
Hagar has set the tone for some of the greatest rock anthems ever written with songs like “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love.”
In addition to Sammy Hagar & The Circle joining the Illinois Lottery Grandstand lineup, Dorothy and Dead Poet Society have been announced as opening acts for Badflower on August 19.
The Illinois State Fair also announced Kelsea Ballerini has canceled her stop at the Illinois State Fair. Ballerini was scheduled to perform with Kylie Morgan and Chapel Heart on Friday August 20. Customers who purchased Kelsea Ballerini tickets directly through www.Ticketmaster.com or through the Ticketmaster mobile app, will receive an automatic refund back to the card used to purchase the tickets.

Actor Norman Lloyd has died at the age of 106.
Lloyd s son, Michael Lloyd, said his father died Tuesday at his home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Lloyd was known for playing Mr. Nolan in Dead Poet s Society and was nominated for two Emmy awards for producing the TV series The Name of the Game in 1970 and the made-for-television movie Steambath in 1974.
His acting days date clear back to Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre troupe and was part of its very first production: a Broadway adaptation of Julius Caesar originally by William Shakespeare.
Throughout his career, he performed and directed on Broadway several more times, with projects including two more Shakespeare plays: King Lear and The Taming of the Shrew.

Hollywood is in awe of the legendary career of Norman Lloyd, who died this week at age 106 after having worked with everyone from Orson Welles to Judd Apatow to Charlie Chaplin to Alfred Hitchcock.
Karl Malden once referred to Lloyd as “the history of our business,” and it shows in his enormous filmography, in which he worked as an actor, director and producer, not only continuing to work well past age 100 but being willing to share stories and histories with other film fans at screenings of classic films all across town.
