Russian LNG exporter Novatek has reported reaching a heads of agreement (HoA) to deliver more than 0.5mn metric tons/year of LNG to commodities trader Glencore from its Arctic LNG-2 project.
Novatek said on June 2 it would supply the gas to a number of locations in East Asia. The announcement was made less than an hour after Novatek reported signing a HoA for the supply up to 1mn mt/yr of LNG to China s Zhejiang Energy, also from Arctic LNG-2 under a 15-year contract.

Tellurian pens LNG supply deal with Gunvor
US LNG developer Tellurian announced on May 27 it had reached a 10-year deal to supply 3mn metric tons/year of LNG to commodities trader Gunvor from its planned Driftwood terminal in Louisiana, bringing the project a key step closer to realisation.
The contract is indexed to Asia s JKM and the Dutch TTF indices, netted back for transportation charges, and covers LNG deliveries on a free on board basis. Tellurian estimates that the deal would bring in $12bn in revenues over the 10-year period at today s prices.
Rosneft output slumps on OPEC+ cuts, asset sales

Russia s largest oil company Rosneft suffered a 17% year-on-year decline in hydrocarbon production in the first quarter on the back of OPEC+ cuts and asset sales, the firm said on May 14.
Rosneft s hydrocarbon output averaged 4.76mn barrels.

Orsted breaks ground on Danish wind-to-hydrogen project
Danish renewables developer Orsted has broken ground on a green hydrogen project in Copenhagen, the company reported on May 17.
The H
2RES facility is due online in late 2021 and will convert up to 2 MW of wind energy into around 1,000 kg of green hydrogen/day, which will be used to fuel road transport in the greater Copenhagen area and on the island of Zealand, Orsted said. The wind power will come from Orsted s two offshore turbines at Avedore Holme.
