The main branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is getting a facelift.
Renovations and a major building improvement project for the space, located Downtown on Vine Street, have begun and will last around 18 months, according to a letter to patrons from the library.
The updates are part of the library s multi-year master plan, called Building the Next Generation Library.
The majority of the work will take place in and around the library s south building. While those updates are taking place, service will continue to be offered from the north building.
All services at the main branch will remain available, but the library s spaces are being rearranged and customers should use the north building’s entrance on Ninth Street.
