Officials with Public Health Seattle-King County are investigating a suspected norovirus outbreak linked to an Auburn restaurant, the county announced Wednesday.
According to the health department’s website, the norovirus-like illness has been found in 13 people so far and has been linked to the Mazatlan Restaurant, located on Cross Street Southeast near Auburn Way South.
The investigation is ongoing, but the department found that the 13 people who reported becoming ill were all part of one meal party that ate at the restaurant on May 21.

State health officials say the major sticking point in the vaccine rollout is supply: How many doses the federal government has sent to Washington.
âThe biggest challenge that we have is vaccine supply,â Dr. Umair Shah, state health secretary, said last Wednesday. âWe canât do much about that.â
But what about the doses here already â that havenât been given to the millions of Washington state residents yet to get a single shot? At least 1 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been delivered to providers in Washington state but never reported as having been given to a patient.
