Cornwall property owners receive Heritage Awards

The owners of another property in Cornwall were also presented with the Heritage Award earlier this month. Gerald and Shirley Wood, who own 321 Amelia St., the former Beth-El Synagogue, were presented with the award for the work they undertook to renovate the building. The Woods purchased 321 Amelia St. in 2009, the former Beth-El Synagogue built in 1924 and vacant since 2006, and have renovated it as their home. Supplied Having been built in 1925, the former synagogue officially closed its doors on April 2, 2009. It remained vacant until the Woods who originated from Kingston purchased it with the intention of renovating it.
