Updated: 10:42 PM EDT Jul 28, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff One man is dead after a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in Winston-Salem on Wednesday morning.It happened around 11:13 a.m. on the 3600 block of Patterson Avenue, police said. The preliminary investigation revealed that one vehicle was driving south on Patterson Avenue when a second vehicle turned left onto Patterson Avenue from the Winston-Salem Christian School, crashing into the southbound vehicle. The crash caused the second vehicle to cross the center turn lane and travel into the northbound lane, crashing with a dump truck traveling north on Patterson Avenue.The driver of the southbound vehicle, identified as Artemas Dixon, died at the scene.The other drivers were not injured, officers said.The 3600 block of Patterson Avenue was closed for around 7 and a half hours while officials conducted an investigation.The investigation is ongoing.This is the 17th traffic-related fatality of 2021,
