A man Mt. Pleasant man has been charged with the shooting death of his father.
Jacob Osawabine is accused of shooting and killing his father, James Osawabine, Wednesday at their home on Bellevue Drive on the Isabella Reservation.
According to federal court documents, Jacob Osawabine told tribal police that his father had gone to the store. Shortly after, Jacob Osawabine heard their front door open and fired a gun toward the door. He then realized that he had shot his father.
Osawabine is charged with second-degree murder.

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio After another spring and summer of isolated flooding on the southern end of the city, North Olmsted recently approved a $32,000 contract with CT Consultants regarding the first phase of the South Interceptor Equalization (EQ) Basin project.
Estimated at $1.5 million, the idea is to add storage volume to the sanitary sewer system that serves portions of North Olmsted in the area south of Lorain Road, as well as northerly portions of Olmsted Township that flow into the city
