Operators in trouble should use marine radio channel 16 to reach Prescott Coast Guard. The agency will then dispatch help. If dispatched, city firefighters will then contact those aboard the vessel to assess the situation.
“Our priority will be to ensure the safety of those onboard and to transport occupants to shore when a vessel cannot return on its own,” the release states.
