JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - It’s a partnership that comes at a key time for healthcare. The pandemic, coupled with a greater need for doctors in some parts of Region 8, has found St. Bernards Healthcare reaching out to communities through The Congregational Health Alliance.
“The Congregational Health Alliance is a community outreach program of St. Bernard’s Healthcare to faith-based organizations in our area,” Karan Summitt, a Navigator with the Congregational Health Alliance said. “And so it’s a very specific program we target with those institutions to look at how what the health care needs of their participants might be, we go to them. JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - St. Bernards Healthcare is partnering with Arkansas State University-Newport to help people without a job and dealing with poverty.
A news release from St. Bernards says the partnership looks to increase the workforce by preparing workers in manufacturing, hospitality and allied health industries through the Arkansas Delta Workforce Opportunities for Rural Communities.
Participants in the program will earn $100 a week while going through a free five-week course at ASUN.

– education and child care workers, including K-12 and higher education and
– food manufacturing workers
Pearce says plenty of vaccine and appointments remain available. Interested participants may register by clicking here or by calling 870-680-8880 to schedule an appointment. Those who receive a vaccine on March 6 will be required to return to First National Bank Arena on April 3 to receive their second dose.
The event is free to the public, and no insurance information is required, Pearce says.

JONESBORO, AR – Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Tuesday that individuals employed in the food manufacturing industry are now eligible to receive vaccination for COVID-19, and those individuals are invited to register for a community vaccination event scheduled for Saturday, March 6 in Jonesboro.
With the governor’s announcement, Saturday’s event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at First National Bank Area, is now open to those in the following categories:
