Perth detectives have also charged an 18-year-old man with stealing. They allege a 31-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were walking along the William Street footpath just after midnight on June 13 when they were assaulted by a group they did not know. Police say the woman was thrown to the ground and kicked a number of times before her handbag stolen, while the man was punched a number of times and received a cut to the top of his head.
