stoplighting fireworks on the beach when they were not supposed to do it. then they were attacked. john: any arrests made yet, jeff? yeah, sandra and john, no arrests as of yet, but since the marines, not in uniform were on the ground and kicked by a large group, consider it a case of assault with a deadly weapon. and the video, we should warn, extremely violent, were not more seriously hurt. as many as 40 people were said to be involved in the beating. marines say they were just enjoying san clemente beach friday night. we don t know what happened prior to the video being taken, the victims say the teens were lighting off fireworks. when debris hit one of them in the face from the fireworks, the men say they asked the group to stop, appears some shoving and then jumped and stomped on. some bystanders eventually stepped in to stop the beating. the mayor says the marines are always welcome in his city and celebrated and that s why he feels this attack was tragic and unusu
florida. one suspect is in custody, another still on the loose. hollywood is a popular it s a popular destination 20 miles north of miami. it was expected to see more visitors than usual with the memorial day holiday. witness describes the chaos. it was just like insane. ran fast, no shoes on. jeans, we ran across the board walk and went into the parking garage and then the cops came like five cars deep with guns looking for him. dana: get you to this story. charles watson is live and has the latest. good morning, dana and bill. fortunately no one was killed. all of the victims including children between the ages of 1 and 17 are all currently in stable condition at an area hospital. police say those folks were wounded after some sort of disagreement broke out along the beachside promenade in hollywood, florida on monday. we re told at least one gun was pulled and shots were fired. sent people on the boardwalk running and ducking for cover. the hollywood police chief
now. thank you for jumping on with us, our viewers have new seen it, what was your reaction when you learned this happened? well, thank you, sandra and john. thanks for being on with us today. yeah, this is a marine corps town, we were shocked, saddened and disgusted. john: we understand the marines were on leave from camp pendleton, some teens were lighting fireworks and i don t know if it was a simple request, or if it was some sort of pointed request from the marines to stop doing it. what happened then? lay it out for us, mayor. yeah, we understand that we had some local youth gathering down at the beach for the end of the school year, you know, getting kind of excited and then they had this confrontation with the marines, we understand that they were setting off fireworks and the marines did tell them to stop. and at that point these youth really turned on the marines and started attacking them. this is completely unacceptable thankfully we have fired four more dep
suspect. they are believed to be a black male with dreads, black short sleeve shirt and camo shorts. ashley: lauren joins us with the latest. what was supposed to be a fun day at the beach turned horrifying. a fight broke out between two groups and one then pulled a gun. i was laying down having a good time and i heard six or seven shots and everybody start running. the board walk was full of people and everybody start running left to right and then i notice people got shot. the beach was packed with people celebrating memorial day, they were sent scrambling. officers nearby responded and police are investigating what happened and how many people were involved. some were innocent bystanders. they were taken to the children s hospital. four minors, ranging from one year old to 17. one person is in surgery and one is stable. police have one person of interest in custody and there is an ongoing manhunt for another. ashley: thank you. to another fox news alert, house rule
