Oceanside Harbor dredge update available May 11, 2021, by Eldin Ganic
As of Monday morning, May 10th, Manson Construction has dredged a total of 290,000 cubic yards of sand from the Harbor inlet, the City of Oceanside Harbor informs.
Manson is authorized to dredge another 15,000 cubic yards before demobilizing.
Unfortunately, weather and large south swells are creating delays in finishing this dredge cycle, the city said.

The HR Morris dredge vessel has remained in position, but has sat idle for the majority of this past weekend.
“Manson still anticipates completing the dredge and demobilization by Wednesday, May 19th, however that is still subject to finding a break in this weather pattern to finish dredging the remaining 15,000 cubic yards,” according to the update.

Oceanside dredging project in full swing May 6, 2021, by Eldin Ganic
The City of Oceanside Harbor, CA, has just released the latest update on their dredging project, conducted by Manson Construction.
So far, the contractor dredged 215,000 cubic yards of sand that was placed on City beaches.
The current outfall pipe is located just north of Surfrider Way.
Due to recent Grunion runs on the beach, all remaining dredged sand will be deposited at that location.
USACE has approved a total of 305,000 cubic yards to be removed from the Harbor inlet. An additional 90,000 cubic yards will be dredged before Manson begins demobilization.
