Authorities in Lancaster County are seeking a 29-year-old man who damaged a Pennsylvania State Police car during a riot that broke out following an officer-involved shooting.
Pennsylvania State Police officers had been called to the 300 block of Laurel Street for crowd control after the shooting in Lancaster around 5:05 p.m. Sept. 13, 2020, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers said.
Patrol car J1-15 was parked near Laurel Street and Union Street when Hector Manuel Rodriguez Jr. damaged it, police said.
Rodriguez was identified in live streams posted to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, authorities said.
He is currently wanted by PSP and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office on the following charges:
Almost 45 years after the gruesome murder of a 15-year-old girl and her unborn baby, Pennsylvania State Police say the suspected killer has been arrested.
Luis Sierra, 63, is accused of murdering his then-girlfriend Evelyn Colon in 1976. The decades-old cold case quickly gained footing in 2020 when a DNA match helped police identify the pregnant teenager previously known only as “Beth Doe.”
Sierra was arrested in New York on March 31 and transferred to Carbon County Correctional Facility Tuesday. He faces one count of homicide, but police said they are exploring what additional charges may be applicable.
“In 1976, laws were different,” said district attorney Michael Greek during a press conference Wednesday. “They didn t provide for a homicide of an unborn child.”

LEHIGHTON, Pa. Luis Sierra, a bus driver from Ozone Park, New York is now behind bars in Carbon County.
State police say Sierra brutally murdered his girlfriend, 15-year-old Evelyn Colon from New Jersey, and her unborn child in 1976.
For years, the victim was known only as Beth Doe and the story of how her body was found dismembered and stuffed into suitcases along the Lehigh River haunted people in Carbon County.
It’s been a year full of unanswered questions for the Schoener family of Hempfield.
Marcus Schoener was last seen April 8, 2020, along Wencliff Lane walking away from his family’s home. His parents and younger brother don’t know where he is or if he is OK.
“We just want answers. We just want him to come home or call us,” said his mother, Jennifer Schoener. “That’s all we want.”
State police, Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety and a search and rescue team from Rapid Response Services on Wednesday searched in an area near the Schoener’s home. Marcus Schoener’s 20th birthday was last month.
