The Mountain Home High School girls’ wrestling team came out on top of every event they competed in this year. On Wednesday, they finished the season in Little Rock with the ultimate prize. The Lady Bombers were crowned the champions of the Arkansas State High School Wrestling Tournament.
Mountain Home finished the tournament with 173 points. Searcy came in second with 129, and Fayetteville was third with 122.
Kylee Sabella, Amelia Frounfelter and Cayden Jones ended up as the individual state champions in their respective weight classes. Also for the Lady Bombers, Victoria Bevel and Amelia Adams came away with runner-up finishes, and Maranda Jones and Lauren Chafin had fifth-place finishes.

The Mountain Home High School swim teams wrapped up the season on Saturday by competing in the Class 5A State Meet in Russellville.
The Bomber boys came away with their highest ranking ever, as they finished as state runners-up. The host Cyclones took the title. Noah Daugherty led Mountain Home with new school records by placing third in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke.
The Lady Bombers ended up third in the team standings. Russellville won the championship, and Little Rock Christian was second. Maddie Lynch won the 50-yard freestyle and was second in the 100-yard butterfly, Joia Traver took second in the 100-yard breaststroke, and the team of Olivia Wham, Traver, Lynch and Sierra Trogdon came away with All-State honors after finishing second in the medley relay.
The Mountain Home High School softball team had a successful benefit game Thursday doubling up Fayetteville 10-5 on Freedom Field at McClain Park.
Lauren Loving threw three perfect innings in the circle and struck out five batters, and Reagan Hasselwander added another six strikeouts. Offensively for the Lady Bombers, Gracie Uchtman was two-for-three with an RBI, Marcie Cudworth went two-for-three with a walk, and Emily Payne ended up one-for-three with two RBIs.
Mountain Home begins the regular season Monday with a trip to Wynne.
