Weaver
LOCK HAVEN Nathan William Weaver, 33, of Paxinos, was bound over for trial following a preliminary hearing on one count of perjury, a felony of the 3rd degree.
Weaver is alleged to have testified falsely under oath in a February 2021 hearing before President Judge Craig P. Miller.
At the preliminary hearing held April 29, District Attorney Dave Strouse admitted copies of the February 2021 hearing containing Weaver’s testimony. He also admitted a copy of President Judge Miller’s subsequent opinion that seemingly relied on Weaver’s testimony in reaching several conclusions. Three Lock Haven City police officers also testified for the Commonwealth.
BRIAN ST. JOHN III
LOCK HAVEN After weeks of continuances, a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Brian St. John III, 19, of Lock Haven, who is charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Jakob L. Haines, 21, of Beech Creek.
The in-person hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, in the large courtroom of the Clinton County Courthouse.
A limit of 50 people will be allowed in the courtroom for the hearing and COVID guidelines will be followed.
St. John has been held without bail in the Clinton County Correctional Facility since the fatal shooting on Feb. 26, 2021 at the St. John home, 330 Brewery Hollow Road.

Criminal Trespass
LOCK HAVEN Michael Francis Remick, 67, of Jersey Shore, was issued a summons related to criminal trespassing, Lock Haven City police said.
Remick was found to be conducting an interview on Robb Elementary School property in the city on Dec. 3 after receiving a notice against trespassing, police said.
Pedestrian struck by vehicle
BELLEFONTE A 64-year-old Bellefonte man was struck by a 2008 Subaru Impreza along Little Marsh Creek Road between Artz Road and Big Hickory Lane in Boggs Township, Centre County on Feb. 7, state police at Rockview said.
At 10:17 a.m., Destiny D. Brower, 22, of Julian, was traveling west on the roadway and entered a right curve at a speed too great for the road’s conditions and she lost traction, police said.
Minor cited
LOCK HAVEN An 11-year-old girl was cited for disorderly conduct after she was found burning a pile of leaves with a propane torch in one of the dugouts at Hammermill Park on Jan. 15, Lock Haven City police said.
Drug possession
HOWARD A 26-year-old Howard man was cited for drug possession following a traffic stop along North Eagle Valley Road near Bald Eagle State Park, Howard Township, on Jan. 21, state police at Rockview said.
The man was found to be under the influence of marijuana, in possession of a small amount of the drug and related paraphernalia, police said.
