SHAH ALAM: Two men were slightly injured after their light helicopter crashed in a vacant plot of land in the Port Klang Free Trade Zone (PKFZ) in Pul.
KLANG: A helicopter was forced to make a crash landing near West Port Pulau Indah here, but fortunately both the pilot and co-pilot survived with only minor injuries suffered.
Khairudin Dahlan, 73 and his co-pilot Moithu Kutti Mohamad, 53 were flying the two-seater Robinson R66 Turbine helicopter.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the incident occurred at around 10am on Friday (Jan 1). We received a distress at around 10am and dispatched a fire engine and seven firemen. They arrived at the scene along Jalan PKFZ, West Port Pulau Indah about 22 minutes later, he said when contacted on Friday.
He said the helicopter was forced to make a crash landing in an open area there and no fire broke out.
