CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County broke ground Tuesday, June 29, for a new home for Maria Padro Santana, her husband Bartolo Figueroa, and their teenage daughter, Alondra.
The groundbreaking was for the 104th
local home for Habitat since 1992, and it will join four other homes, one occupied, and three others under construction, on Richardson Street.
The home is sponsored by Legends Bank and is being branded as “The House that Legends Built.” Tommy Bates, president and CEO of Legends, thanked everyone who attended the groundbreaking along with bank employees for their support.

First up is the Miller County Fair, which runs July 6-10 in Eldon. Later in the week, the Osage County Fair, July 8-10, kicks off in Linn.

The competition was divided into four age categories, including under 4 years old, 5-7 years old, 8-11 years old and 12-14 years old. Children lathered their hands in soap and water before running around a closed pen after a few piglets. First through third place winners were awarded cash prizes.
