They have not been provided their due recognition for their work as Covid warriors. When India was under the complete lockdown, the teachers were given duties to work during Covid. The person is asymptomatic and would be shifted to Naidu Hospital for more tests. His samples would be sent to the National Institute of Virology in the city for genetic sequencing. The test could take two to three days. Dr Pradeep Awate, head of Maharashtra’s epidemiology cell said that while the Maharashtra public health department has got 3,000 names of people travelling from the UK since November 25, till yesterday, municipalities had tracked 116 people, 52 of whom have already taken RT-PCR tests.
