Manhunt for very dangerous man continues; assaulted officer released from hospital Kari Barrows UP NEXT
Buncombe County officials said Saturday, July 24, that multiple law enforcement agencies are currently searching for a wanted man in the Barnardsville area.
Officials say Larry Wayne Hipps, of Greenville, Tenn., is wanted in both Tennessee and North Carolina on multiple charges.
The Buncombe County Sheriff s Office recovered a stolen vehicle that Hipps was driving in the Barnardsville area early on Saturday, and the search, including K9 units and multiple agencies, was continuing into late Saturday night.
He’s looking at any means to get away; he will do anything to keep from being apprehended, Mars Hill Police Chief Jon Clark told News 13 Saturday evening, so I consider that suspect to be very dangerous.
