Police on Thursday registered a case of murder in connection with the deaths of two teenage girls whose bodies were found in a field here even as a post-mortem revealed no injury marks. A third girl, who is on ventilator support at a Kanpur hospital, is being treated for suspected poisoning. Replying to a question on the cremation of the two girls, Superintendent of Police, Unnao, Anand Kulkarni told PTI: Cremation will be held tomorrow (Friday) morning. Our work is to maintain law and order. There is no pressure from us. They said they will cremate tomorrow as some of their relatives are coming. It s there decision, we are not creating pressure on them.

Budaun (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 8 (ANI): The key accused in the Budaungangrape and murder case, who was arrested on Thursday, has been sent to judicial custody till January 18 by a trial court.
Speaking to ANI, Vijay Yadav, Assistant Prosecution Officer, CJM Court said, The priest (main accused) was arrested today and sent to judicial custody till January 18. The other two accused had already been arrested and sent to jail.

New Delhi: A 50-year-old anganwadi worker was gang-raped and brutally murdered allegedly by a priest and his two accomplices in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.
Two of the accused were arrested on Tuesday night after the post-mortem report confirmed rape while the priest is on the run, they said, adding that the woman s leg and a rib bone were fractured and there were injuries in her private parts.
The incident, which triggered an instant hue and cry in the political circles, took place on Sunday and the matter came to light when her body was brought home at night. The FIR was registered two days later following which the duo was nabbed.
