Murder case registered after Filipino woman found dead in Gizri

A couple of days after a Filipino woman of Pakistani origin was found dead at her home in the Gizri area of the city, police registered a murder case against unidentified persons based on the medical report of the victim.
The woman, identified as 35-year-old Shella, belonged to the Philippines. She was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a residential apartment near a local eatery in upper Gizri, Clifton, on Tuesday night.
Her body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.
The medical report said her neck bone was found fractured during the autopsy, which suggested that she was murdered. Due to this finding, police have registered a case against unidentified persons under the Section 302 (murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Area SHO Pir Shabbir Haider said that the body of 32-year-old Sheela was found inside a flat in Upper Gizri by another Filipino woman, who lived in a flat in the same building.
She told police that the victim had been living alone for the past seven months and was a cardiac patient.
The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where doctors told investigators that she was strangled to death as they found bruises and broken shoulder bones.
The SHO said that she was married but reportedly got separated from her husband recently. She was associated with a private firm which provides foreign women as domestic help in the metropolis.

KARACHI: A young man, who owned a hotel in Clifton, was found dead in his room under mysterious circumstances on Sunday, police said.
They said that the body of Shah Salman, 21, was found lying in one of the rooms of Seashell Inn located in Clifton’s Block-2.
Area SHO Pir Shabbir Haider said that the deceased was said to be the owner of the hotel and lived in one of the rooms. He said that Salman did not awake in the morning as per his routine and his staff called his uncle, who came and broke open the lock of the room and found his nephew dead.
