As seen on Friday s WWE SmackDown on FOX Pat McAfee has a new role as the color commentator of the blue brand.
Justin Barrasso of SI.com is reporting that the current plan is to let McAfee be himself on the air and avoid over-producing him.
Barrasso also noted that McAfee joining SmackDown is unrelated to the recent releases the company made. McAfee has been working toward this for a while.

WWE sources are reporting that the Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair match on night one of WrestleMania 37 received universal praise , according to a report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.
In the match, Belair defeat Banks to capture SmackDown Women’s title for the first time.
Additionally, WWE reportedly made the decision to allow Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair to have the moment to themselves after Reginald was previously “shoehorned” into their feud.
The report reveals that Banks and Belair is currently seen as the biggest narrative in WWE ahead of WWE Universal championship match between Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and Edge.
Wesley Blake Breaks Silence On His WWE Release

Wesley Blake took to Twitter this evening and issued a brief statement on his WWE departure.
As we’ve noted, WWE made budget cuts on Thursday and released Blake and 9 other Superstars – Samoa Joe, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Mojo Rawley, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Billie Kay, Kalisto and Bo Dallas. Blake broke his silence this evening and looked ahead to the future.
“One door closes, another opens. Thank you to all who have help me along the way. Much love [heart emoji] [folded hands emoji],” Blake wrote, attaching a GIF of rocker Zakk Wylde giving thanks.
